Ellie - 10 months

Crawling army style EVERYWHERE and UNDER everything

Taking in your surroundings and getting in the mix

Saying "dada, baba, nana, mmm, hi" indian chant, and other sounds

Pointing

Blowing raspberries

Drinking formula, 6-8 oz

Smiling and giggling more

Playing with her walking toys

Showing lots of personality - loving, curious, strong willed, persistent, impatient

Pulling up on EVERYTHING - it's all she wants to do

Cruising from one place to another while holding on to objects

Throwing things and watching what happens

Playing with Kip's toys - his response "No Elyee, these are BIG boy toys!"

Growing in thick hair, but not time for a cut yet

Enjoying her play time

(Not) enjoying her pumpkin seat carrier

Choosing who she wants to hold and play with her

Responding to all of her names - Ellie, Elyee, Ellie Bellie, Sis, Sister, Sissy

Kneeling while playing

Standing in crib when she is not tired

Turning over during diaper changes

Laughing at big brother when he makes faces in car

Taking cat naps (30-90 minutes), sometimes once.. sometimes twice a day

Eating Cheerios, puffs, small pieces of food

Pushing toys/objects out of the way as she crawls and sometimes for fun

Imitating and interacting

Showing frustration when not getting your way

Sleeping 10-12 hours with some late night feedings

Teething - bottom two and top four are in now!

Pulling toys out of buckets and baskets

Coming to us when we call her

Playing with dolls during baths

Shopping and spending time with Nana on Wednesdays

Wearing size 3 diapers

Wearing 9-12 month clothing

Wearing size 2 or 3 shoes

A Chapter Closes

It's a sad day for me today. I took down the sign that's been on my door since Ellie's birth. I met my breastfeeding goal of 9 months and it is time for me to close this chapter... with a major twinge of sadness. I am proud of myself though. One of my greatest commitments and accomplishments. I will cherish the memories with Ellie and that little black bag.
